We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested to man in the flesh. He is the eternal son of God, and equal in power and glory to God the Father. He willingly took upon Himself our human nature. Being conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary, He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world. He rose from the dead with a glorified body and ascended into Heaven, where He is now interceding as our High Priest. We believe His second coming to be literal, bodily, personal, and visible. The dead in Christ shall rise first, the living saints shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of David and Christ shall reign a thousand years on the throne of David until He hath put all enemies under His feet (John 1:1; 8:46; II Peter 2:21-22; Ephesians 1:7; Philippians 2:6-11).
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
